Overview

My main World of Warcraft character.

The unofficial leader of the Alliance branch of the Adventurer's Guild, as well as a more official leader in the Alliance military (or as close as an adventurer could really be considered); Winstant's heroics are known all across Azeroth and beyond, as he's been on nearly every battlefield since he was able to leave Northshire Abbey.

His hot-headed yet good-hearted nature makes him either a loyal friend or a fearsome enemy.

Personality

• Winstant has a very large heart; all of his emotions are strongly felt. This leads to him having a very short fuse, and he can be set off quite easily, usually at perceived injustices. Ultimately, as he cares so much about things, this is why he is so quick to fight against anything that aims to harm.
• Winstant is quite intelligent. He is able to grasp concepts incredibly easily, has a good memory, and can easily solve most puzzles if he puts his mind to it. Unfortunately, he is also very impatient and stubborn. He dislikes sitting through lessons, or needing to take time to put thought into something. He will find a path, he will find it easily and quickly, and he will make it happen. If something or someone stands in his way, he can and will fight against that.
• These major traits of his are simultaneously cooperative and conflicting. His heart and stubbornness will lead him to fight and win for those he cares about, but he can lose himself in that path, despite what the people he is fighting for want. This can be used against him, but also can be used to pull him back to reality, even if it will frustrate him in the moment. He's usually smart enough to know it's for the best, even if smashing would be more satisfying.

Story

• Born in Lordaeron, during Stormwind's exile. His father was a knight, and his mother is a mage. His grandfather (mother’s side) is a founding member of the Explorer’s League. Winstant was often pushed to high expectations physically and mentally by his family, and while some of the things his grandfather showed him he was interested in, it was never quite enough to grab his attention; he always leaned towards the physical fighting-related end of things.
• His father was killed in a battle against the Horde; this enraged Winstant, causing him to attempt to get revenge, but he was held back. He would train furiously for months on end, breaking dummies, weapons, and causing a lot of damage; his family and others struggled greatly during this time, knowing his pain, but unable to rein him in.
• Initially attempts to become a knight, but due to his nature, he ends up in the adventuring profession instead.
• Eventually becomes the Champion of the Alliance due to his constant involvement in major conflicts, and his relationships with many important figures.

Relationships

• Istaanu - Met during the Burning Crusade. The two often found themselves fighting the same battles. Winstant found his overbearing nature irritating at first, but grew to respect the Draenei's prowess and heart. You will often find them at the head of any battle.
• Meyneth - Greatly admires her free willed nature and will to follow her own path. Doesn't fully understand her connection to nature and the calmness that comes with it, but respects the fact that she cares about it so much.
• Donevan - Finds him irritating.
• Guanglai - Originally suspicious of a former member of the Horde not only defecting, but joining their group. However, it didn't take long for him to warm up, as the Pandaren's kind and friendly nature is incredibly apparent. He very much respects his Huojin-leaning beliefs of taking action, as well as his stomach.
• Valant - Cannot stand him. The two often fight, usually caused by Valant antagonizing, and Winstant losing his temper. The only reasons he is willing to keep him around is because Valant is genuinely skilled and a force to be reckoned with. That, and he relishes any moment where Valant is humbled.
• Mumkhar - Eternal rivals. The two essentially have the same role in their respective factions, and almost always meet each other in conflicts. He cannot stand the Forsaken's fighting style, attitude, actions, or pretty much anything about him. If there's anyone that can guaranteed make Winstant see red, it's Mumkhar. If it wasn't for an outvoted majority, the two would never even consider the idea of unifying their guilds.
• Anguilla - Would normally write her off entirely. However, through hearing stories from Guanglai, and occasionally seeing her actions after the Fourth War, he cannot help but start to build a begrudging respect.
• Loves his family, but doesn't often make the time to see them.
• Generally pretty good with most of the group, save for Valant and Donevan.
• Terrible with the Horde, even after the unification. He's getting better, though.

Other

• Actually really enjoys learning about the Titans specifically, but can never get behind the academic end.
• His grandfather is a Dwarf. Winstant's blood leads him to being a little stockier and shorter than most Humans (Do not tease him about his height, he Will destroy you).
• His favorite foods are spicy meat dishes. His spice tolerance is quite high. Also, most likely due to his ancestry, his alcohol tolerance is quite high. These together usually mean he is a force to be reckoned with in any kind of eating or drinking competition.

Author's Notes

• Winstant was not my original WoW main, but during Legion when they were advertising the 100 boost, I found the character and the pose they made so funny that I wanted to turn him into a character and play him. "Winstant" comes from the word "Instant" for "Instant Boost", turned into something that sounds like "Winston", the name. The joke eventually evolved into its own thing, but his origin still remains.
