Zinju is very introverted for an adventurer, much preferring to keep to her own studies, not liking to participate in any sort of grand celebrations or loud events. When she was younger, this was incredibly debilitating, but years of experience and maturing helped her to learn to handle uncomfortable situations better. She still favors a good library over anything else.
She is incredibly intelligent, and absolutely loves learning more about the world and the arcane. She gets very excited and opens up when it comes to reading and magic.
Her preference for frost magic serves two purposes. It cools her down physically, and it allows for more defensive strategies, as well as having more options than just purely killing an opponent.

Story

Born on the Darkspear Islands, Zinju was not a happy child. The harsh nature and encroaching enemies were terrifying, the other trolls were loud; she would hide away, crying in fear. She hated the brutality of the world and what was apparently needed to survive in it. Moving with the rest of her tribe and the Orcs to Kalimdor, experiencing more trauma and threats from the Naga, Kul Tirans, and even her own people with Zalazane did not bring her out of her shell in the slightest. The years in Sen'jin Village began something different, however. Washed up on the shore, in abandoned supplies, and even close to the ruined keeps; Zinju found books leftover from the humans. Hiding away as much as she possibly could, she would learn to read Common, and find an actual interest in the information stuck in these tomes. This would even turn into attempting to sneak to Tiragarde Keep and spy on the remaining forces there, picking up on bits of language and knowledge to help her deciphering of the books. Reading as many books as she was able to get her hands on became her new passion, and led to the discovery of the arcane, which she would essentially teach herself. This was limited to what she could find, though.
Cataclysm - With her own ability to be self taught being limited from a lack of sources, as well as the increasing threats to the world, Zinju managed to find some courage. Magic allowed for distancing herself from the direct violence she hated, as well as gave her a way to protect herself. Being able to find more like-minded people, Zinju began to learn from others. Proving to be a savant, she quickly handled any concept or trial presented, and ended up accidentally proving so adept at what was asked, that she was asked to help fight against the Naga assaulting the Echo Isles. Wanting to further her understanding of the world, Zinju would head out to where she could, often finding that the most accessible way to practice was unfortunately through combat; but flinging a spell was much preferred to using a dagger. Learning about the increased hostility between the Alliance and Horde, Zinju became afraid of being blocked off from opportunities because of her race, and started to completely disguise herself: hiding behind a mask, shoes, and occasionally an attempted change of accent. Her travels would lead her to the Eastern Kingdoms, aiming for Silvermoon. On the way, she would end up meeting an undead woman with a strange fighting style, but seeming very calm and collected, unlike some others she's met. The two would prove a formidable and capable team.

Relationships

Anguilla - One of the first friends she ever made. Anguilla and Zinju tend to make great company for the other, due to their similar natures.

Other

Initially, Zinju would completely hide herself behind a mask. In recent years, she's felt more comfortable with her face out.
Despite being a jungle troll, she absolutely hates the feeling of heat, and much prefers cooler temps.
