Daichi has suffered from a constant, suffocating despair since he was young. Struggling to cope with the pain of existing, he tried to overcome this through meditation.
He is unwavering in his pursuit. Constant in his path of seeking the end, he's settled fully on his final path, and nothing can really break him from trying to reach it.
He presents himself extremely exhausted. Obstacles are a pain. Just let him finish.

Story

Born in Nukumoritoge, he struggled greatly internally, attempting to meditate and train to quiet his inner turmoil. Then would come the fateful assault that would destroy the town. Yet where Akari not only thought she was the only survivor and fought for its revenge, he ran away in despair. He traveled the world, eventually reaching Mnemlos, where he would discover ancient records of the old god Goloth, and its rage of life's constantly changing chaos and pain. This confirmed his path; awaken the earth. End life's constant pain of change.

The job combination that really inspired him was Monk and Dark Knight.
I needed a villain of some sort for the party, and while I had some ideas, I really needed to form the world's lore and general "story themes" before I could really make something. Eventually this formed Daichi.
Daichi was picked using the kanji meaning "Peaceful/Vast/Extreme" and "Earth/Land/Ground", and Kantani was picked using the kanji meaning "Cold/Shiver/Lonely" and "Valley/Path/To reach an end".
