Overview

A (seemingly Infinite?) dracthyr evoker with a tenuous grip on the timeline.

In a past life, Arazesh awoke with the other dracthyr, but struggled to find comfort in his new life. In an attempt to find a way to mend the crack he felt in existence, he lent his help to the Infinite Dragonflight, but this lead to a failure in time magic that would lead to him violently and constantly thrown through time until his sense of self was completely altered and his knowledge of the world's champions was oddly personal.

Now a completely different evoker from the man who woke up in the Forbidden Reach, he joyfully enjoys the present with his closest comrades in the world, even if they don't know him, and even if the next timewarp is just around the corner (though it isn't).

Personality

• Arazesh is positive, upbeat, and always willing to help out a friend. He always seems to relish every moment he spends with someone, and seems unflappable when met with conflict; thinking everything will be fine eventually.
• His mind has been completely scrambled. He has absolutely no sense of who he was before being lost in time, nor does he seem to realize that he was someone before that. All of the trauma forced through him has eroded his sense of time, so he often needs to figure out when he is and what other people around him know. He continues to operate on the assumption that he will be yanked through the timeline again one day.
• He has immense difficulty with recalling memories. However, Arazesh is aware of this, so he writes constantly in journals, of which he is extremely protective over, as to not lose all the info inside.
• Arazesh is incredibly adept at gathering info in conversation, usually knowing the right questions to ask to find out what he needs. This is never used maliciously, he just needs it to anchor himself, and he's learned how to do that in a super friendly manner (or at least he seems to think so).
• In general, he's very adept at picking up new concepts; he seems to be able to glide into position faster than most people would.

Story

• Dragonflight - The evoker Rezaash awoke alongside the other dracthyr when the Primalists attempted to break free the Primal Incarnates. While most dracthyr found their memories shaky initially, Rezaash couldn't seem to have his memory of his life before stasis. He was told that he was a soldier, an efficient one at that, and he was particularly efficient at learning and following orders. He managed to prove this still the truth, but the disconnect he felt was jarring. He helped the other dracthyr escape the Forbidden Reach, and lent his assistance when and where needed as the Alliance and Horde fought on the Dragon Isles, but it didn't feel right. He felt incredibly disconnected from his actions; something was missing in his head that he just couldn't work around.
• After Fyrakk's defeat, Rezaash felt completely aimless. Hearing that Eternus and the Infinite Dragonflight was doing some kind of experiment with the timeline, he felt drawn to join, hoping that maybe in return they could help with the empty feeling. However, unlike all the adventurers finding themselves in Pandaria after the Cataclysm, something in the magic broke, and Rezaash was thrown wildly through time. He would find himself somewhere for varying amounts of time, from maybe only a couple seconds to even weeks, before being yanked and thrown somewhere else in the timeline. This process continued for, for him, what felt like eternity. In what was supposed to be a journey that could settle his identity and timeline instead did the exact opposite, as he found his body changed, his mind scrambled, and even the memory of his own name warped. Despite the violence of this experience though, there was a positive to it. Arazesh often found himself experiencing bits of the lives of Azeroth's greatest champions, and it was something that felt inspirational and anchoring. Some timelines he could even stay long enough to develop genuine friendships with them, or see the events that made them what they are today. Eventually, he settled into helping his closest comrades, that he thinks he's spent his entire life with? There wasn't really anything before them, and they're usually there, so following them feels nice! Except for when they fight each other, that's more difficult.
• The War Within - One warp brought him surrounded by Infinite Dragons and other adventurers. Many of the dragons seemed very concerned about him "being lost" and "the changed color of his scales", which felt strange, as they asked about topics people didn't usually when he just appeared out of nowhere. Nothing like "who are you" or "how did you get here". He couldn't seem to fit in his usual conversational topics to get close in the middle of the interrogation; these dragons seemed to have known him, or at least someone that looked like him. They kept verbally spelling his name wrong. After being deemed "safe for now", he found out through asking locals of this time where certain names were. Excitingly, everyone he was looking for seemed to be in Khaz Algar at present. Flying out to Dornogal, he found his comrades, greeting them happily, and being met with the usual confused reaction. He didn't mind this though, after some explanation and helping out, they always come around. What he didn't realize at the time though, was this would be the last new introduction to the Champions of Azeroth he would ever have to make.

Relationships

• Anguilla - She's usually the person that actively starts conversation with him the most, and for that he's always appreciative. Anguilla's very good at anchoring him, and in return he gives her someone that can... well, at least try to reach the other way in a similar manner.
• Jalhalla - One of his favorite people to be around. He absolutely loves to listen to Jalhalla's stories, and will even join in on them occasionally. They're very dangerous together, and usually need a chaperone.

Other

• He keeps his journals in a time-locked pocket dimension that he can access with a spell. Most of the volumes read like they're extremely out of order, save for the current book he writes in.
• He is not officially aligned with either the Alliance or Horde, though in his past life, he first met with the Alliance.

Author's Notes

• Originally an expy of my Dungeons and Dragons character (who you can read about on the other page!), I found you could make an Infinite looking Dracthyr; combined with my liking of the Bronze Dragons, I wanted to do something with it. One trip to the barber shop, his name turned into a cool anagram (which is how Infinite names work), and boom! Slightly different character!
