Overview

A fourth generation Death Knight raised after the Fourth War.

Despite a life of poverty in the gutters of Dazar'alor, Jalhalla has always found wonder in living, finding joy in the stories of Azeroth. He always longed to spread that wonder to others, and to live those tales himself. His chance to rise above his station, as well as to be one of those legendary heroes he always looked up to came after the Fourth War, where he sacrificed his life to be raised into undeath as a Death Knight. Now with actual power, he fights alongside the champions of Azeroth to fulfill his lifelong dream. A sacrifice he would happily make again.

Personality

• Jalhalla is very loud and ostentatious, even in undeath. He loves to make a show of things, to entertain everyone around him, and to make life seem as grandiose as he believes it is. He hates when things are depressing, having to deal with a lot of that in life, and knowing that that isn't what the world has to be.
• In life, Jalhalla was incredibly charismatic. His undead state and general nature tends to hurt his appearance in the present, but he still has that natural charm and gift of language that enthralls others.
• Undeath made him very intense and careless. He treats danger like it's nothing, and doesn't think too hard about actual dangers. Others have to hold him back from most certainly killing himself, even if actually doing so is very hard due to his blood abilities and increased resistance.
• Jalhalla holds Azeroth in very high regard. He finds wonder and joy in the world and the grand adventures that happen inside it. Never being able to experience it in his life created a longing to actually see everything with his own two eyes; something that he relishes in the ability to do so in the present, no matter what it took to get there. He may be dead, but he's still around and kicking, and that's what really matters.

Story

• Jalhalla was a peasant, living off scraps on the streets of Zuldazar. He was very well known by most everyone due to his unique personality and the way he would speak to even the people he was currently robbing leftovers from as a close friend. Other members of the lower class absolutely adored him, as he would usually share any excess of his own, as well as entertain others through the night with tales he's heard and found.
• Battle For Azeroth - Incredibly excited to see the arrival of the Horde on Zuldazar. He would often spy on whatever he could to see the "legendary heroes of Azeroth" at work; and occasionally would try to buddy up to some of the adventurers for conversation's sake. Some, like the elf woman, would humor him. Others, like the undead man with the eyepatch, ignored him. He nearly lost his life in the Siege of Dazar'alor, and from there, decided he needed to figure out how to fight alongside everyone.
• Shadowlands - Through the grapevine of rumors, Jalhalla heard of bodies of soldiers that fell in the Fourth War being resurrected. Curious, he went to go inspect. Discovering the Knights of the Ebon Blade bringing a new generation of Death Knights to prepare for war, Jalhalla saw his opportunity. He was willing to throw away his life in exchange for the power, strength, and ability to fight alongside the heroes of the world. To be able to make a change and become a character in the tales he loved so much. He was probably going to die anyways, so might as well get something out of it. Somehow his gambit worked, and Jalhalla was risen as a Death Knight, ready to fight against the Jailer and save the world. Knowing exactly the group of people to get involved, he went to the Horde's guild, and wanted to fight alongside them (much to the irritation of their newest Zandalari member).

Relationships

• Ghidarja - She was the guard that would get on his case and chase him down the most. He enjoyed pulling his usual shenanigans on her in life, and now that they're both part of the same group, he treats her like an old best friend.

Other

• Undeath took away his ability to feel pain. As such, he will usually throw himself recklessly into situations. It's not much of a problem due to his healing powers. Notoriously, he'll run into a blade and still act perfectly fine.
• His newfound wealth from adventuring was put into the form of A Lot of gold on his body.

Author's Notes

• He is named after Jalhalla from The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. The main reason for this was the name sounding like it would fit, but also as the original Jalhalla is a ghost, it makes sense for an undead. While not intentional, the fact that they are both very lively in behavior is a nice connection.
