My favorite part of MtG is deck creation. Am I good at it? No. Not at all. But especially after seeing things like the 32 Challenge, I can't help but look at Scryfall to pick guys and gimmicks I like. Thought I'd put them all here!
Commander is my preferred ruleset for deckbuilding, so that's what you're gonna find here.

Ever since Ultima was revealed, I loved the idea of using his ability offensively. Later on, I'm gifted a new version of my favorite special blob, Omnath. Combining my two goals here I was inspired to go for as much mana as I could store, while trying to fit as much color hate as I could, within a reasonable budget of course, since colorless cards can get stupid expensive.

See, your average person would use Krenko smartly, and actually attack with his infinite army of goblins. Me however? My goal here was to use goblins as a resource. I want to sacrifice these guys as much as I can. Fire them out of cannons. Throw them. Have a bird drop them. I'm making a bunch of goblins, but they're not my army. They're my ammunition.

To be perfectly honest, I just wanted an excuse to use Garland and Starscream. Noticing they both fit colors and had that monarch gimmick, I tried my best to put together something where I could use them both. Every card here has something to do with the monarch or stealing opponent's cards (ok, maybe not every card. I am not immune to throwing in blorbos).

Noticing Exdeath and Cloud of Darkness both worked off the graveyard with varying numbers had me wanting to do something with them since frame 1. This deck is all about having guys that benefit me when they die, as an excuse to send them to the graveyard, and other dudes that benefit from a large graveyard. Ideally, this deck has me get stronger the closer I am to deck empty.

I wanted to make a deck based around treasures, and it seemed like Jund was the best choice for that. Gyrus gave me the idea of essentially offering my treasures up to a stronger and stronger monster. Everything inside is either a treasure creator, something to protect Gyrus, or a different gold sink, essentially. I also wanted to avoid super expensive cards unless they really spoke to me.

This is my baby right here. My favorite deck to play, perfectly attuned to what my soul wants. Omnath gives me my three favorite colors, huge creatures, and lots of mana to spend on them. Purely elemental focused, too, which satisfies that part of my brain that loves the idea of tribal decks. It's great when they all match.
