Story

Born on Argus, however he was still a toddler when he left with his older brother. Constantly coddled and overprotected throughout his life due to constantly being on the run, he constantly attempted to prove himself and gain independence.
On Azeroth, he joined the Argent Dawn after finally convincing Istaanu to let him be his own man, but was killed in his first battle, and eventually raised by the scourge.
In current times, after years of undeath but fighting on the side of good, he has managed to break many of the chains being raised put on his soul. He’s still not exactly pleasant to be around, but most of the negative emotions and anger around allies have subdued.

Istaanu - In life, he was always very annoyed by the constant vigil of his brother, but ultimately still greatly cared for and appreciated him. After revival, no emotions save for all of the anger remained, which turned into a form of hatred and rejection. Years of fighting together, and breaking the hold undeath had on him, has led to a more positive relationship. Toraal at a minimum tolerates his brother, and understands his feelings.

As he never sleeps, he is Literally constantly doing something. When there are no menial tasks to be done or things to kill, he occupies his time by playing JewelCraft.

Toraal is my longest surviving Alliance character. I originally played him as a monk, but changed him to a Death Knight at the proper level. While usually I like to keep real life in their continuity, me playing him in MoP Remix as a Warrior makes me think that's what he would be if he never died.
In a way, Toraal is kind of an amalgamation of my childhood characters on the family's account. I had a Draenei Hunter that looked exactly like him, and a Night Elf Death Knight.
