Favorite Final Fantasy Music - FFIII

Contrary to the Entire Opinion Of The Internet I actually really like FFII and I think its music is also really good! More of the tracks stick out in my head compared to I, couldn’t exactly tell you why; but these are my top 5 favorites :) (there’s not as clean of uploads for this game so the versions are mixed around)

5. Tower of the Magi

I love the harpsichord in this song, it sounds so bouncy and mysterious, absolutely fits the vibe of a big mage tower in the middle of an island. Like I don’t have much to say about it, it’s a very simple enjoyment, but it’s such a fun song

4. Battle 2

Ok…. I am going to be completely and totally honest. This song is absolutely carried by the first 13 seconds. But Holy Shit It Is The Coolest 13 Seconds In This Whole Game. The PR version makes it this fuckin intense deep chorus, this IS the song for fighting the king (sorry emperor) of hell. Then it goes a little simpler, which, eh, feels a little bit worse after the grandiosity of the opening, then it goes back into a louder melody. It’s so fun and also it’s perfect that the best part is 13 seconds long cause that’s how long the boss lasts against me using a blood sword

3. Game Over

Oh wow this is the part where the game makes you sad BECAUSE THIS GAME IS VERY DEPRESSING AND FULL OF DEATH AND WILL PLAY THE GAME OVER THEME WHEN PEOPLE DIE??? Absolutely love how sorrowful this song is, it absolutely fits the vibe of this game and how heavy it is at times.

2. Battle 1

This is the one everyone knows. This is The Song of FFII I think (mostly cause it’s in XIV) It’s such an interesting song??? It feels bouncy, it feels like a dance, it’s like, oddly happy for how miserable this world is??? I love the little twinkles and trills spread around the song, I love the main melody, this is probably one of the best normal battle songs in the entire series if you ask me

1. Pandaemonium

holy SHIT this song is so good. I’m super glad I was able to find the PR version cause GOD DAMN IT IS MAJESTIC AAAAAAA I love the main melody, I love the high notes, I love the grand orchestra in this version (also shoutouts to the dissidia version too!!!) this feels like such an epic finale song, this is absolutely me going into hell to kill the world’s most evil son of a bitch. This melody is reused later in IX which I absolutely loved realizing what it was, and then subsequently I was disappointed that we didn’t get it in XIV because I love this song so much but it’s ok the version we got there is also really good
